Who is responsible?

Data processed on this website

This website does not have accounts, a contact form, a newsletter, advertising pixels, or payment processing.

• Website analytics. I use Kobbe to understand which pages are visited and how the site performs. It processes the page path without query strings or fragments, referrer origin, event time, browser, operating system, device category, and country or coarse location. Kobbe uses a daily-rotating pseudonymous hash to count same-day visits. It does not store raw IP addresses, raw user agent strings, analytics cookies, or persistent visitor identifiers.
• Website preferences. If you change the text size or page width, that preference is stored only in your browser using local storage. It is not sent to me or to a third party.
• Email. When you choose to email me, I process the name, email address, and other information you include in your message in order to respond to you.

Why I use this data

Analytics help me understand and improve the website. I rely on my legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the site for this limited, aggregated use. I process email correspondence to respond to your request and, where relevant, to take steps at your request before entering into an agreement.

Service providers and international transfers

Kobbe, operated by Michael Alexander Web Agency, provides the website analytics service. Its services may involve processing outside the European Economic Area. Where a transfer requires safeguards, Kobbe provides transfer mechanisms such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. I do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The only storage used by the site is the functional local-storage preference described above. Kobbe's default tracker does not use analytics cookies, so this site does not show a cookie-consent banner.

How long data is kept

Website preferences remain in your browser until you clear them. Kobbe retains analytics data for the rolling retention period of the plan in use, after which it is automatically deleted. Email correspondence is kept no longer than necessary to handle your request, and at most 12 months after the last meaningful contact unless a business relationship begins or a longer retention period is required by law.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of the personal data I hold about you. You may also object to processing or request a portable copy of your data. To exercise these rights, email hello@martijnotter.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy if this website or the way I handle personal data changes. The latest version will always be available on this page.
